From Montmartre to Montparnasse. Max Jacob and the Parisian avant-garde

From his meeting with Picasso in 1901 to the Roaring Twenties, Max Jacob was a key witness to the Parisian avant-garde. He is the common thread running through this course devoted to the adventure of modern art, which began in the workshops of the Bateau Lavoir, in Montmartre, and continued in the effervescence of Montparnasse, with Picasso, Modigliani, Apollinaire, Laurencin, Braque, Delaunay and Kisling, among others, as key players.
