Archaeology village
Archaeologists welcome you to the village to find out more about their jobs and missions, with a range of workshops and meetings open all day long, for young and old alike.

VISITS

Flash tours
Discover part of the Orleans, Land of Potters exhibition, accompanied by an archaeologist or scientist.
Saturday June 14th at 11am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm
A museum mediator lifts the veil on an axis or showcase in the exhibition.
Sunday, June 15 at 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

WORKSHOPS

The Archaeology Days are an opportunity to try out ancient techniques, such as decorating pottery.

Patterned pot
For 6-9 year-olds
For centuries, many of Orléans' ceramists produced decorated pottery. Now it's your turn to create your own designs in relief, using the tools of the time: knurling wheels!

Decorative tiles
For ages 4-6
Shapes, faces, patterns and even animal prints have been found on ancient tiles. Why not decorate your own?
