Center Pompidou invites itself to the Centre-Val de Loire region
Sarkis (b. 1938), an artist of Armenian origin, has lived and worked in Paris since 1964. In 2011-2013, he was commissioned by the Région Centre to create 72 stained glass windows for the Château de Chaumontsur-Loire. He now returns to Orléans for the third edition of the regional AR(t]CHIPEL festival (September 27 to November 2, 2025), in partnership with the Centre Pompidou. To mark the occasion, the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans will be showcasing the work I love my Lulu (1987), as well as a series of nine watercolors for I love my Lulu (1984), in its collections. Sarkis will also be a guest at the museum in 2026.
