The House of Joan of Arc
through history

From 8 Apr
To 21 Sep 2025

AT THE HOTEL CABU

In the spring of 1429, when Orléans was under siege from the English, Joan of Arc spent 10 days west of the city in the house of Jacques Boucher, treasurer to the Duke of Orléans. Over the centuries, this house has undergone many modifications. Destroyed by a local fire in 1940, the1st stone of its reconstruction was laid by André Malraux in 1961. It opened to the public in 1965 and became a museum dedicated to Joan of Arc in 1975. As part of the 60e anniversary of the rebuilding of the Maison Jeanne d'Arc (1965-2025), this exhibition invites you to (re)discover the history of this building known to all and still associated with the Pucelle d'Orléans.
