A New Journey: From 1870 to the Present

From June 5,
, to August 30, 2026

Fourteen galleries are reopening with a new exhibition layout, featuring paintings and sculptures from 1870 to the present—many of which have been brought out of storage, restored, or recently added to the collections through purchases, donations, and loans. A true centerpiece of these redesigned spaces, Martial Raysse makes his presence felt in the new exhibition layout with the exceptional loan of *ReLeBainTurc*, an iconic eleven-meter-long neon diptych based on Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’s masterpiece. In this luminous work, Martial Raysse extends his exploration of French Pop Art; he does not merely reference Ingres’s *Le Bain turc*—he reactivates it, infuses it with tension, and anchors it in our present. Through its extraordinary scale and immersive power, the work transforms the space and opens a dialogue not only between the artistic movements of the second half ofthe 20th century but also across the centuries.
