Creation of the historical museum
A historical and archaeological museum is set up in the Hôtel des Créneaux. In 1879, it moved across the street to the Hôtel Cabu, acquired by the town in 1862. The Gallic treasure discovered at Neuvy-en-Sullias in 1861 was deposited there.
