The collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts are sheltered in Sologne. The fire set by the Nazi army in downtown Orléans reduced the collections of the Hôtel Cabu and the Musée Jeanne d'Arc to ashes. The Paul Fourché Museum was looted beforehand, and the collections have still not been recovered.
